And everybody was impressed

But I didn't need to prove to be

And everybody said 'Wow~'

And I agree, and I stood proud
我同意，我自豪地站立，
I painted mountains
我画了山川，
I painted blue lakes
我画了碧蓝的湖泊，
I painted people
我画了人物，
I drew portraits
我绘制了肖像。
But then I drew my dad and held it up beside him
但我画了爸爸，把它放在他旁边，
And I realized that it look nothing like him
我意识到它和他一点也不像。
And part of me wish nobody had told her

But I guess it's just a part in getting older- mm-mm

I was the fastest in the town

And they don't say nobody when I run her

'Cause she's the fastest girl around

Once upon a time I was a dancer
从前，我是一位舞者，
It took no effort
毫不费力。
I was a scientist
我是一位科学家，
I was an expert
我是专家。
I was a teen yes and I thought nothing of it
我是一个青少年，是的，我对此毫不在意，
Until they told me that I wasn't
直到他们告诉我我并非如此。
And part of me wish nobody had told her

But I guess it's just a part in getting older

When you learn-
当你学习时——
You're supposed to call her perfectly and sided the lines

And you're supposed to win at least a couple hundreds of times

Before you even have the right to think or say or show your any good at all

They'll tell you that there's only one right way

One paved path
一条铺就的道路，
Or you'll make it fail yourself
否则你会让自己失败。
And everyone will laugh
每个人都会嘲笑，
They'll make you feel like everybody's waiting there
他们会让你觉得每个人都在等着，
to watch you as you fall
看着你跌倒。
They sighed
他们叹了口气，
They tell me I'm a dreamer
他们告诉我我是个梦想家，
they say someone's got a waker
他们说有人需要唤醒，
But I'll just smile
但我只是微笑，
I'll say
我会说，
'Once upon a time I was a baker!'
“从前，我是一位面包师！”
